LITA was founded by Sachiko, a board member of Yahiro Electronics co., ltd., a bespoke lighting company based in Osaka. While working on custom lighting projects, she frequently received requests from international clients to incorporate elements of traditional Japanese craftsmanship into their designs. Through these experiences, she built close relationships with skilled artisans across Japan, gaining firsthand insight into their passion and dedication.
Motivated by a desire to connect Japan’s rich craft heritage with modern living and to help preserve it for future generations, she established LITA. The brand curates exceptional handcrafted pieces that seamlessly blend tradition with contemporary lifestyles.

My life has been shaped by the many encounters I’ve had along the way. Each connection has inspired new ideas—and through my encounters with Japanese artisans, I was inspired to create LITA.
Japan is home to countless artisans whose skills and sensibilities embody a beauty that no machine can ever replicate. Their work carries a human warmth and sincerity that moved me deeply, and made me realize that tradition is not something to be preserved in the past, but something to be lived and reinterpreted in the present.
